Take a Seat: Unique Seating Chart Ideas
One of the most exciting parts of a wedding for your guests is where they’re going to be seated at the reception (and, of course, who they’re going to be seated with!). As for the bride and groom, the seating chart can be a grueling process that takes a lot of time and thought. But the process can be made fun for everyone with a unique seating chart at the reception. Here are some great ideas that will get everyone excited!
Bottoms’ Up!
Let’s get this party started! Greet your guests with a shot of your favorite liquor (you can use shot glasses or mini bottles)—or create a signature shot for the wedding—that’s also marked with their table number. Have guests who don’t drink? Make them a nonalcoholic shot so they can still join in on the fun!
Clink, Clink
In that same vane, set up a seating chart with glasses of prosecco so your guests don’t all have to rush to the bar as soon as they get to the reception. It’ll also give them something to cheers to the bride and groom to!
Wedding Favors
Set up your seating chart with your wedding favors to kill two birds with one stone. This way, your guests can grab their gifts right off the bat and find their seats. We also love the wordplay with these cute succulent gifts in the photo above!
For the Bookworms
Take a page out of this book (see what we did there?!) and mark your guests’ seats with old books. You could even have them write notes inside to compile a guest book of sorts!
Photo Chart
This is about as personal as it gets! Find photos of each of your wedding guests and turn them into cute polaroids to display as a seating chart. Your guests will love trying to find their photos! While it may take some work for the bride and groom to dig up pics, the end result will be worth it.
