Melrose Knitting Mill Featured in Business North Carolina

We’re honored to share that Melrose Knitting Mill has been featured in the May 2019 issue of Business North Carolina as part of a statewide spotlight on historic properties being reimagined as wedding venues.

The article explores how North Carolina’s industrial past is finding new life through thoughtful restoration and adaptive reuse—and we’re proud that Melrose Knitting Mill is part of that story. Originally built as a textile mill, the building’s exposed brick, soaring ceilings, steel windows, and original architectural details now provide a distinctive backdrop for weddings and special events while preserving a meaningful piece of Raleigh’s history.

Since opening as a venue, our goal has been to balance character with functionality—offering a refined industrial setting that feels both timeless and welcoming. Being included among other notable historic venues across the state is a meaningful affirmation of the care that has gone into restoring and operating this space.

We’re grateful to Business North Carolina for recognizing the growing movement to preserve historic properties through purposeful reinvention—and for highlighting the role venues like Melrose Knitting Mill play in creating memorable experiences within these storied walls.
